Boil until ingredients turn bright & tomatoes start to peel:
- 4 Roma tomatoes
- 4 green Tomatillos (discard husks & wash)
- 4 dried Guajillo or Cascabel chile pods
- 4 to 6 dried Japones (Japanese) chile pods for medium-hot spice, more if you like HOT
Remove from water (reserve water for thinning, if necessary) & add to blender with:
- Bunch of cilantro leaves, to taste
- 2 tsp minced garlic, or to taste
- 2 tsp salt
Blend until smooth.
