

{"id":3627,"date":"2020-04-04T15:56:08","date_gmt":"2020-04-04T15:56:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/maggfarm.com\/?page_id=3627"},"modified":"2021-03-16T01:11:05","modified_gmt":"2021-03-16T01:11:05","slug":"how-to-make-bangers-mash-just-like-an-irish-pub","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/maggfarm.com\/?page_id=3627","title":{"rendered":"Bangers &#038; Mash (&#8220;Just Like an Irish Pub&#8221;)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"print-this-button-shell\">\n<button type=\"button\" class=\"print-this-button\" onClick=\"parent.location='http:\/\/maggfarm.com\/?page_id=3627&printthis=1&printsect=1'\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<img src=\"http:\/\/maggfarm.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wordpress-print-this-section\/images\/print2.gif\" \/> &nbsp; Print This!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/button>\n<\/div>\n<!-- Print This Section 1 Start -->\n<div class=\"print-this-content\"><\/p>\n<p>From: <u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tasteofhome.com\/article\/irish-bangers-recipe\/\">Taste Of Home<\/a><\/u><\/p>\n<p><b>INGREDIENTS:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 Irish sausages (or other pork sausage)\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>For the Gravy:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 Irish sausages (or other pork sausages)\n<li>1 yellow onion, thinly sliced\n<li>Sausage drippings\n<li>1 Tbsp flour\n<li>1 cup ham or beef stock\n<li>Salt &amp; pepper, to taste\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>For the Mashed Potatoes:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 large potatoes, quartered\n<li>1\/4 cup milk, plus more if needed\n<li>3 to 5 Tbsp butter*\n<li>Salt &amp; pepper, to taste\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Step 1: Set up the Sausage:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat your oven to 360 degrees.\n<li>In a large pot, boil your potatoes for about 20 to 25 minutes.\n<li>Meanwhile, cook the sausages in a skillet over a medium-high heat to give them some color, about 3 to 5 minutes.\n<li>Remove them from the heat, place them on a tray and pop them in the oven for 20 minutes.\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Step 2: Make your gravy:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Season onions with salt and pepper, then fry in the sausage drippings* over a medium heat until soft.\n<li>Dust with flour then slowly add in the stock.\n<li>Allow liquid to simmer, reduce and thicken.\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Pro tip:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re feeling fancy and want to jazz up your gravy, add some fresh herbs before you pour in the stock.
